After an amazing journey of four weeks we moved on to the last week of Women Who Code, Delhi Mentorship Program 3.0

The fifth and the last week of this program was dedicated towards “Creating our Presence”. I learnt the the importance of LinkedIn and plethora of opportunities one can get through LinkedIn.

My mentor explained the importance of regularly posting on LinkedIn and updating our LinkedIn profile. The better the profile is, higher are the chances to be spotted by recruiters. She then explained and demonstrated every single section on LinkedIn profile and how to upload the “perfect” content to it. Apart from this, she suggested we can all consider making a portfolio website as well in which we can add our skills and achievements. Also, publishing blogs helps one increase their public reach at the same time honing one’s writing skills and expression.

I would miss meeting through the weekly group calls to gather some valuable knowledge from our mentor! All of the five weeks of the program turned out be very productive. I tried to be consistent and follow my mentor’s advice by solving few DSA questions daily, updating resume and creating online presence on LinkedIn, Github, Medium, keeping an eye on oppurtunites and sharing those with other women✨

Thank you Women Who Code, Delhi for this amazing journey and a special thanks to my mentor, Jap Leen Kaur Jolly, who is the most outstanding woman I have met (although virtual 🤞). I have learnt a lot over the past 5 weeks.
